Abbott’s Response to Global Tensions

After the deadly shooting on Sunday morning on Sixth Street in Austin, Governor Abbott instructed DPS to increase patrols and law enforcement personnel in downtown Austin during the weekends to discourage criminal activity.

Governor Abbott also posted on social media over the weekend in support of President Trump.

Abbott said, “Texas stands with President Trump in sending a clear message to Iran: its aggression toward America and the West will no longer be tolerated.”

He added that the joint military operations with allies in the Middle East continue to show American resolve. Abbott concluded with a statement of prayer and support.
