(KNUE-FM) For the most part people love the Texas accent. Whether it’s played up a bit in a movie or television show, or if you just meet a Texan who has lived here their whole life. And there are some words that people have a hard time saying without showcasing that Texas accent more than others.

TikTok Video Highlighing East Texas Words and Phrases

As I was scrolling on TikTok I found a video that was posted last year showing two ladies that are discussing certain words that just seem to bring out that Texas accent.

People Love and Relate to The Video on TikTok

It’s fun to see the video has over 500+ likes on TikTok and 30 comments with so many people agreeing with the ladies. And there are some words that resonate so well that people are commenting them back to the video online.

One of my personal favorites was Sarah Sanders, who said, “Heavy on big church.” If you haven’t watched the video yet, you need to see this.

The Video is Hilarious Because it’s True

When you hear the ladies say, ‘Oil Rig’, it sounds like they have been working oil field jobs for a while, or it’s genuine that they grew up in East Texas. You can’t fake that kind of accent, and with so many things online that are fake, it’s nice to see these ladies being authentic.
