It's time for an upgrade.

That's what Tyler Police Chief Jimmy Toler said in a press release Thursday morning regarding the new fleet of 13 vehicles coming to the Tyler Police Department.

The 13 new vehicles rolling out to Tyler PD are new 2018 Dodge Chargers that include enhanced technology features that are intended to "increase safety and efficiency for officers".

The new design isn't too bad on the eyes either and will serve not just as an aesthetic update, but the design will also improve reflectivity and visibility. Toler said:

The police vehicle is the most visible representation of our department.  The last time we made a striping update was in the late ’90s. It’s time for an upgrade.

All new vehicles that are purchased by Tyler PD will have the new design.

What do you think? Good look?
