Fall is here, and it's time to curl up with a good book! The Tyler Public Library is here to help with their Fall Book Sale from Oct. 8-11.

“We are selling adult and children’s fiction and non-fiction books, as well as audio books and videotapes,” City Librarian Mary Vernau said. “Most items are priced at $1 or less. For this sale, we will have a huge variety.”

The books you'll find in the sale are comprised of donations that do not currently meet the library's needs or items that were withdrawn from circulation. You'll also find artwork available at this sale, with framed pieces selling for $15.

“All proceeds from our sales go toward the purchase of new or replacement items for the Library’s collection,” Vernau said. “We expect to have thousands of items on hand, nearly all of them new to this sale.”

The Fall Book Sale will take place Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Friday,  from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 4:30 p.m.

On Thursday, Friday and Saturday, adult hardback books will be priced at $1 while paperbacks, children’s books, audio books and videotapes are 50 cents. On Sunday, you'll find a special sale. Cardboard boxes will be provided and can be filled with books for $5 per box. Paper grocery bags can be filled for $2 per bag.

The Tyler Public Library is located at 201 S. College Ave. in Downtown Tyler. More information about the sale can be found on the Library’s website at TylerLibrary.com or by calling 903-593-7323.
