(KNUE-FM) It seems like we are always talking about the things that go wrong or the rants that people have here in Texas. There is always something to complain about. But it’s important to focus on all the good things that are happening around us and that includes one tremendous employee working at the Target store on South Broadway in Tyler.

A Feel-Good Moment in Tyler

Just this past weekend I was scrolling on social media and saw a post on the ‘All Things Tyler’ Facebook page and what really stood out to me was that it was something positive. The post was made by a sweet woman named Monette Woods and it went on to describe how the Target employee helped her out.

How the Necklace Was Lost

The woman shopping was there on Saturday night and inside the store she had her necklace fall off, which was a family heirloom. She was devastated, but the Target employee (who was not named) took it upon herself to search the store for the missing jewelry.

An Employee Who Went Above and Beyond

The following day, the necklace was returned to Ms. Woods who really thought that the necklace was gone forever. The other unfortunate part of this incident is that we never found out who took the time to search and find the necklace.

Regardless, it is wonderful to see something like this happen here in East Texas. It’s also nice to see that people are posting about it on social media. When good things like this happen in our area, we need to shout it out and give these kind people the recognition they deserve.

And again, whoever took the time to find the necklace at Target, thank you for being a good person.
