Living in East Texas is great, but social media often reveals things happening around you. For example, I have seen multiple videos over the past week or two showing people fighting and I just don’t think the people in these videos are thinking about the consequences of their actions.

I got in my fair share of trouble when I was just becoming an adult. I was reminded by law enforcement on multiple occasions that there would be consequences to my actions if I didn’t start acting right. That was enough for me to put the shenanigans behind me and start focusing on what I wanted in life.

Young people need to realize that as soon as they act foolishly, there is a good chance that someone caught it on video and that could be shared online in just seconds. Most of us adults truly appreciate that we didn’t have social media when we were growing up.

These situations are dangerous whether you’re involved or not. And if you’re caught fighting, a violent charge from law enforcement will stick with you for a long time.
