UPS Employee Arrested in Texas for Massive Package Theft
(Brownsville, TX) Most people in Texas know there are severe consequences if you’re caught stealing, and those consequences are even worse when it comes to stealing from your employer.
One Texan is learning that lesson the hard way as he was caught in a theft scheme while he was working as an employee for UPS.
UPS Noticed the Missing Packages First
There are packages that go missing from time to time, but after noticing lots of packages going missing from the same area it made staff at the UPS Brownsville Distribution Center start to wonder what was going on.
According to KXAN, 37-year-old San Benito resident Armando Garcia was arrested after law enforcement determined that he was involved in a theft scheme.

How Did Investigators Know Who Was Responsible?
Identifying a suspect in theft cases such as this can be difficult, although this one seemed a bit easier for law enforcement.
After noticing multiple packages going missing officials put a package in that distribution center with tracking devices and the items were tracked to Garcia’s home in San Benito.

What Items Were Stolen?
After law enforcement tracked the package to Garcia’s house, they were able to obtain a search warrant where they discovered other stolen items including designer bags, clothing, and electronics.
The total value for all the stolen items is valued at approximately $200,000.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
As always, we want to thank all law enforcement departments and personnel for making sure this type of crime doesn’t continue in Texas.
