(KNUE-FM) You’ve probably heard lots of Texans talking about TikTok, and while it’s a very popular social media platform, my favorite thing about the app is how it saves me money. Everything is costing more lately, so any chance I can cut down on expenses is a good thing. I’m not sure this hack will save you some money, but I at least wanted to bring it to your attention.

For years I have been like so many sports fans, during football season I am looking at all the different sports packages that are available to watch all of the games. Since I also enjoy playing fantasy football, I want to see everything. But that expense can start adding up, as last year I was paying over $80 per month with YouTube TV.

But if you’re on TikTok, you’ve probably noticed that there are hundreds if not thousands of people that are now streaming all of the games online, some of them even streaming NFL Redzone which will actually switch to whatever game has the best action going on at that time.

Is Watching NFL on TikTok Legal?

It’s strange to me as I would think this is not legal with all of the rules around NFL games, although at least for now it seems like streamers are getting away with it. However, streamers must turn off commercials or risk their accounts being flagged.

I’ve seen streamers gain huge amounts of followers by streaming these sports games. I will not be streaming them anytime soon, just because I could see the NFL getting mad about this and I don’t want to make a huge corporation mad. But if you’re looking for a new way to cut expenses, you might want to stop your current subscription and watch your favorite sports teams and games on TikTok.
