Zac Brown Sued By Fan After Accident at Summer 2015 Concert

A Zac Brown Band fan is suing the band's frontman and Live Nation Entertainment following an incident during a Summer 2015 concert that allegedly left her unable to use one of her arms.

Per TMZ, Karen Perry, who is blind, attended one of the ZBB's August 2015 shows at Boston, Mass.' Fenway Park and was seated in a section for disabled people. When Brown came near the area to shake hands with fans, the crowd surged into the section. As security stepped in to control the situation, they lifted a metal gate into Perry's armpit.

According to the Wrap, Perry suffered neurological, muscular and orthopedic injuries because of the security guards' actions, and she no longer has "the physical ability to use her arm to hold her white cane, thereby limiting her ability to navigate while walking.” Perry's lawsuit claims negligence -- specifically, that security should have been better prepared for such a situation, given Brown's "known propensity for going into the crowd" -- and she is seeking damages "in excess of $75,000."

The Zac Brown Band played three sold-out shows at Fenway Park in August of 2015, as part of their summer tour. Brown and company have not yet revealed plans for a Summer 2016 tour, but they will be playing Country Jam 2016 in Grand Junction, Colo., in June.
