Some sad news coming out of Henderson County this morning. Athens Police confirm they found Diana Lynn Musella, 75, who had been missing from Athens since August.

According to a press release, an employee called to say he had found a car wedged in an area behind the business where he worked. Officers arrived and found Musella in the driver's seat.

Musella had called her sister on August 8 for help after becoming lost and realizing her car wouldn't move. Her sister was not able to find Musella, and called authorities, who then searched for Musella and activated a Silver Alert.

According to a preliminary investigation, Musella had somehow wedged the car in such a way that it blocked her ability to open the car doors. Athens police do not suspect foul play; however, an inquest and autopsy have been ordered.
