Brandi Carlile will be honored at the 2019 Billboard's Women in Music Ceremony on Dec. 12 with the Trailblazer award.

The award highlights Carlile's humanitarian efforts, as well as her support for the LGBTQ community, as well as her success over the last year which includes her multiple Grammy wins and high-profile festival appearances.

Carlile will be one of the many award recipients of the night. Nineties alternative rocker and "Ironic" singer Alanis Morissette will be handed the Icon award for her contribution to the music industry over multiple decades. "The Night Is Still Young" rapper Nicki Minaj will be taking home the Game Changer award — she is the only female artist in the history of Billboard's all-genre Hot 100 chart to have more than 100 entires land on the chart.

"Billboard’s Women in Music is an annual opportunity for us to celebrate undeniably influential women from across the industry, Billboard Editorial Director Hannah Karpwe says. "We are excited to highlight a diverse group of women pushing limits and breaking boundaries."

Last year's event honored another country music game-changer, Kacey Musgraves. Musgraves took home the Innovator Award at the 2018 ceremony. Other honorees at last year's ceremony were pop star Ariana Grande, R&B singers SZA and Janelle Monae and "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" singer Cyndi Lauper.

The 2019 Billboard's Women in Music Ceremony will be available to stream live on YouTube on Dec. 12.

Carlile was also recently honored by CMT.
