If I were to ask you to pull out that old bucket list you wrote three, five, or maybe even twenty years ago, would I find "audition for a play" on that list? Maybe not you, but perhaps someone you know? In fact, maybe it was on your New Year's list of resolutions for 2020?

Whatever the case, the greatest adventures of our lives begin with the first step--even a small one. Perhaps this could be yours?

The Tyler Civic Theatre is holding auditions on March 23 and 24 at 7 p.m., for the upcoming, truly beloved show "Breakfast at Tiffany's." The show dates will be May 8-10, 14-17. They are looking to cast 15 men and 6 women.

Now, I understand if you're thinking "I've never done anything like that before. I don't know the first thing about an audition." Well, my friend, there's a first time for everything. Whether or not you are cast, the experience of auditioning is itself enriching and it'll make you braver, I promise. ;) If you are cast in a role, you'll have plenty of rehearsals to get ready for the shows.

Ready to learn a bit more? Get details on the show, auditioning, and even ticket info here. Let me know if you go for it, I'd love to come watch your big debut!

Oh, and as the old theatre tradition goes, may I say: Break a leg! (Not literally, of course.)
