Back in 2016 when host Ryan Seacrest said his final line of the American Idol franchise, his words were: "Good Night, America ... for now". That sent fans of the show into a frenzy thinking that American Idol might not actually be over for good. Well, they were right.

The first season of the revamped American Idol series kicks off on March 11 on its new home of ABC. And the premiere is extra exciting because two Dallas/Ft. Worth natives are set to be featured on the premiere episode, with a total of 13 contestants featured throughout the season according to GuideLive.

Ron Bultongez of Plano and Harper Grace of McKinney with both get the chance to sing in front of judges Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, and Luke Bryan in the premiere episode. There will be a viewing party at Plano Kitchen and Bar as the community rallies together to support these two on premiere night.

BUT - they aren't the only ones representing Texas on the show this season. 11 other contestants have been tapped for the show that are from DFW. The others are: Brittany Holmes of Aubrey; Griffin Tucker of Carrollton; Tippy Balady, Chameka Devrajai Scott and Skylar Dayne Capriles of Dallas; Samuel James and Drake Milligan of Fort Worth; Kristyn Harris of McKinney; Kassy Levels of Richardson; Juliana Madrid of Southlake; and Caroline Kraddick of Dallas!

So make sure you're watching on Monday, March 11 at 8/7 Central to see these two audition and the others throughout the season!
