(KNUE-FM) We all know there are serious consequences when you don’t follow the rules and laws in place here in Texas. There are three East Texans who are about to find that out the hard way.

We got the details from KETK regarding three men being arrested in connection to a multi-state deer poaching ring. Texas game wardens have already arrested the three individuals for their connection to a deer poaching ring that affected four states.

Who Was Arrested in East Texas

The three suspects in this case are 21-year-old Carson Bottoms of Longview, 24-year-old Drake Cannon of Mount Pleasant, and 18-year-old Reagan Farquharson of Heath. All of whom had been investigated over a three-year period.

How Many Deer Were Involved

The three individuals are suspected of allegedly hunting mostly white-tailed deer without landowner consent. Officials believe that the suspects and co-conspirators shot more than 100 white-tailed deer during the time of the investigation. Officials say “It is also believed that some of the white-tailed deer have been processed and illegally sold.”

Could Federal Charges Be Filed?

All three men were arrested separately and booked into their county jails, but out-of-state charges may be referred to agencies such as the Game Warden partners at the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Department to look into possible federal charges.

The case is still active and more charges could be added as officials continue to learn more about this disturbing case.
