East Texas Man Gets 16 Years in Assault Case

A man was recently sentenced to 16 years behind bars for sexually assaulting an East Texas teenage girl on multiple occasions. According to CBS 19, Lamarcus Hambrick was sentenced to 16 years in prison after pleading guilty to the charges.

East Texas Man Sentenced to Prison

Hambrick is 32 years old and pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual assault of a child. These charges are in connection with offenses against a 15-year-old girl at the time, which occurred last year. He was sentenced to 16 years for each charge but because he was previously on probation, an additional two years were added to his sentence.

How Authorities Discovered the Relationship

Arrest documents show that Hambrick was found with the 15-year-old victim at a motel in September 2025. Texas Department of Public Safety troopers found that Hambrick had been in a sexual relationship with the child for about a week.

Hambrick would pick the girl up from school, but instruct her to walk to a nearby gas station to not bring attention to their relationship. Hambrick told the child to not tell anyone about the relationship.

Investigation Led to Multiple Arrests

The investigation led to further arrests including Laban Lewis, 26; Michael Allen, 19; Alannis Loving, 18; and Maurese Emmanuel Johnson, 22 all facing charges connected to crimes involving the same child.

Hambrick met the girl through Loving, who met her on Snapchat. When first introduced Loving told Hambrick the girl was 18 and told the girl Hambrick was 21. In reality the girl was 15 and Hambrick was 31. Loving denies ever discussing the ages of Hambrick and the girl but Snapchat messages say otherwise.

Police found text messages, photos, or videos which led to the other arrests made. Law enforcement officials continued investigating the case, which led to multiple arrests.
