ETX Man Found Alive In Creek After Missing 2 Days
A Tyler man is recovering after spending two days trapped in an area behind an elementary school in Whitehouse. Police first described it as a hole, but later clarified he was found sitting in a creek.
According to our news media partner KLTV, Alexander Guiliana, 56, of Tyler, went missing on Friday. Concerned family members contacted police, and police found his motorcycle and personal property late that evening in the 8300 block of Paluxy Drive.
Police, including a K-9 unit, searched the area with no results. An aerial search was attempted using the department drone, but they still did not hit on anything.
Family members started another search Monday morning, heard the man yelling for help and located him in a remote area about two footballs away from Mozelle Brown Elementary School in Whitehouse. Tyler police officers, Tyler Fire Department and EMS reported to the area and were able to get the man out. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
According to a press release issued by Tyler Police, Guiliano told investigators he wandered off after leaving a night club Thursday night or Friday morning. He was found one-half mile east of where he had left his motorcycle.
