Last night during the NET Health's monthly board meeting they listened to public concerns regarding the difficult process to begin a Food Truck business in Tyler and Smith County.

Members of the community showed up in large numbers to the board meeting to speak, and to listen to the views of others as a part of the on-going conversation regarding Food Trucks.

A Task Force was developed a couple of years ago to invite Entrepreneurs to open Food Truck businesses and sell to the public in the City of Tyler. After the task force submitted their input, the NET Health Environmental Department developed their regulations. The result has not produced a thriving Food Truck Community.

In recent City Council meetings, the Mayor has expressed his frustrations, and business owners in the community turned out last night to express theirs as well.
