Jacksonville, Texas Encouraging Shopping Local With $2,500 Giveaway

The past few years have been difficult for small business owners especially in smaller towns such as Jacksonville, Texas. But it’s always great to see communities come together after those tough times which is why I love hearing about the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce holding their second annual shop local campaign. 

The event kicked off earlier this week on November 1st and residents have a chance to win cash prizes just by supporting a Jacksonville Chamber retail member. There will be a total of $2,500 given away. To earn a ticket for the drawings you need to spend $20 at a chamber member retail business, you cannot have two transactions within a 3-hour period on the same day.

Last Year This Event Was a Success 

In its first year this event brought in 1,019 tickets which meant over 83,000 in local sales. This was a huge boost to the city and business owners in Jacksonville. This year the Chamber is hoping for even bigger numbers.  

How Will People Win the Money? 

There will be six drawing for $250 each, and two drawings for $500 each. The first drawing will be at Southside Bank on Friday, November 18th. The second drawing will be December 1st at Citizen’s 1st Bank, the third drawing will be December 8th at Austin Bank. The fourth drawing will be for the $500 prizes which will be on December 16th at Texas National Bank. 

To be entered for the drawings just take any receipt of $20 or more to any of the banks listed above to be entered for the drawings. There is no limit to the number of receipts you can enter.
