Longview to “Go Yellow”

"Going Green" is the usual call to arms to recycle, but Longview is wanting your glass for recycling.

Fleet Services Manager David Simmons says of recycling glass, "It takes up the life and landfill so everything we can keep out of that landfill is beneficial for us as a community."

There are three locations right now to drop off your recyclable glass, The City of Longview Composite Site, Gregg County Precinct and Broughton Recreation Center.

Residents are alreay taking advantage of "going yellow", over 20,000 pounds has been recycled this month so far.
