Missing 5-Year-Old Found Safe [UPDATE]

UPDATE: According to KLTV, officials report that Cason has been found and is safe. No other information is available at this time.

Authorities are looking for a missing 5-year-old boy this morning (Oct. 3)

According to KLTV, the Cherokee County Sheriff's office is helping search for a missing 5-year-old from Alto. He is a white male and is wearing Spider-Man pajamas. He was last seen at his grandmother's house in Alto.

TDCJ search dogs and a DPS helicopter have also been brought in to help find the young boy.

The Tyler Paper reports the boy's name is Cason Truitte Rice, and was last seen at 1:30 by his grandmother when she got up to check on him. Officials believe he may have wandered away as a teddy bear was found near the home.

Anyone who has seen him or knows his whereabouts is asked to call local law enforcement.
