Mom Finds Seven Deadly Snakes in Son’s Closet
A mother in Australia got a rude surprise when she went into her three year old sons closet. She was expecting to just grab a pair of shoes or a shirt, but what she found was a box filled with one of the most dangerous animals on the planet.
A couple of weeks ago three year old Kyle Cummings found a handful of eggs in the garden. Not thinking anything of it, his mother Donna Sims gave him a takeaway box to put the eggs in. Earlier this week she went into his closet and found a box of recently hatched eastern brown snakes - the world's second deadliest species of snakes.
She admitted she didn't think much of it when she gave him the takeaway container for the eggs. That was until she found those seven snakes that is. ‘I was pretty shocked, particularly because I don't like snakes,’ she admitted. After getting over the initial shock and fear, she took the snakes to a local sanctuary.
Wildlife professionals at the sanctuary said Kyle was very fortunate as his mother discovered the eastern brown snake babies. They didn't even want to think about what would happen if he had taken them out to play or before the hatchlings had grown strong enough to push open the lid by themselves.
