One of the many things that makes the state of Texas so great is the people and the generosity and southern hospitality that is shown toward others. You find it all the time, Texans trying to help others. It could be as simple as holding a door or paying for a stranger's coffee. But Texans will also go big when it comes to supporting their favorite charities.

Everyone is going to have a different favorite charity based on the things going on in their life. There are so many families that have been affected by homelessness, not having enough food, or having a family member battle cancer. And all of these life experiences help us choose which organizations we like to give back to.

Which Charities are Most Supported in Texas?

There are thousands of organizations that do amazing work every day to help people around the country and many that help people here in Texas. There are also thousands of Texas based charities, and we all know that people love to support local.

Which made me wonder which charities are supported the most by Texans, and I have those answers for you below.

But one more thing I wanted to bring up before we get into specific charities...

Share When and Why You Donate

When I think back to my childhood, around the holidays my parents would try to put a toy or two in the donation bins at big stores. At that age, I didn’t understand how important that is.

Just remember to share with your kids and loved ones when you donate and why. It’s not about bragging, it’s about helping raise awareness for the charities that mean the most to us.

Okay, let’s look at the list of charities that are supported the most by Texans.
