The Texas Rose Festival Arts + Crafts Fair Returns to Bergfeld Park on Oct. 17

Rose season is a popular time to host events in Tyler and the surrounding areas, and next weekend is no exception. The Rose Festival Arts and Crafts Fair will return to Bergfeld Park on Saturday October 17.

More than 70 vendors will be on site at the event for visitors to browse as they get a jump on holiday shopping. Hosted by the Tyler Parks and Recreation Department you'll find all kinds of hand-made and crafted items.

With wares including metal art, stone carving, inlay wood carving art, photography, jewelry, candles, organic bath and body products, clothing, pottery, sewing, wreaths and florals, art-mix-media paintings, plants, face painting and more, there's something for everyone.

The fair will open Saturday from 9 a.m. till 5 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. till 5 p.m. Admission to the fair free, but certain areas like the kid zone will require a fee to enter.

Live entertainment is schedule for Saturday, including the following:

• 10 a.m.: Central Concert Choir and St. James Praise Choir
• 11 a.m.: Tyler Junior College Academy of Dance
• Noon: Heart Throbbers Jump Rope Team
• 1 p.m.: Candy Cocker School of Dance
• 2 p.m.: UT Tyler Jazz Ensemble
• 4 p.m.: Sarah Roberts and Company
