Summer Backpack Program Kicks Off Friday

The East Texas Food Bank is providing food to kids in low income areas this summer.

And now, thanks to a $25,000 donation from the Junior League of Tyler, the East Texas Food Bank will kick off their Summer Backpack Program this Friday at City Park in Tyler. Each Friday, children will receive a bag of food that will last the weekend.

There will be thirteen different sites through the summer to receive the items. A complete list of where in East Texas the food bank will offer lunch can be found here.
