We're getting word about ANOTHER phone scam, this time in Smith County.

It's almost scary when you consider that some of these scammers can use an "official" phone number to execute their ruse unless you know the signs to look for.

I can't believe there is still a functioning number that you can call to get the time and temperature.

Scammers are "spoofing" the Tyler PD's primary dispatch non-emergency number and asking for financial information. Don't give it to them.

Even though its a new year, scammers have found a new way to scam and the Smith County Sheriff's Office wants all of East Texas to know about it.
