(KNUE-FM) It seems like there is a new study or survey that comes out almost daily talking about how Texans are doing regarding certain topics. The popular site WalletHub just released some new details, and I am not so sure Texans will love the results that just came out. Essentially, the survey revealed that Texans are not good at visiting the dentist and also have bad credit scores.

It feels like WalletHub just took a major jab at people living in the Lone Star State, but they say they have the data to back up the results.

How Texas Ranks in Credit Scores

When it comes to finances and credit scores, Texas ranked in the bottom five states, coming in at number 47. Analysts found that the average credit score in America is 702; the average credit score in Texas is 677. Mississippi was last with an average credit score of 669.

Texas Dental Health Performance

The fun doesn’t stop there as we rank even worse when it comes to dental health. Texas came in at number 48 on the list. The metrics they included when ranking each state included the share of residents who have visited the dentist in the past year, dental costs, presence of dental insurance plans, and oral health data per state. The worst state when it comes to oral health is the same state that ranked last with credit scores, Mississippi.
