Your East Texas Severe Weather Personality as Told by It’s a Southern Thing
Usually when we speak of severe weather in East Texas, we're talking about a tornado. Many in Tyler, Texas, along with a couple of other East Texas cities, had to deal with that earlier this week. As we saw on the news that evening, there were several videos of the twister as it was on the ground. This begs the question, which weather personality are you? The YouTube channel It's a Southern Thing lays out the different kinds with all of us matching at least one of them.
Tornado in East Texas
During this week's storms, which weather personality were you? Did you just stay inside in and watch the coverage on TV? Did you sit outside on your porch just enjoying the lighting, thunder and rain? Did you keep an eye on the sky in hopes of catching a glimpse of the tornado? However you enjoyed the storm, I hope you stayed safe.
Severe Weather Personalities
There are many other severe weather personalities out there. Personally, I have two. The "looking outside and trying to figure out which cloud it is" and "the guy on the porch not worrying about the storm that is brewing." I remember growing up, my mom was the "take a shower before or after the storm" and "unplug anything we won't be using" personality. I've got a couple of friends that are the "sitting on the couch thinking they're better than the weather man" persona.
When the dude starts naming off snowmageddon, snowpocalypse and snow death, that got me rolling.
