Air Ambulance Begins to Serve Tyler and Longview

Medical City's air ambulance plane begins flying this week, with a stop in Longview on Thursday, May 3, and Tyler on Friday, May 4. The Air Ambulance transports pregnant women in crisis, babies, and children.This is the only known air ambulance in the state with a maternal transport team. This will allow a medically fragile infant to be born in the same hospital where he or she will be treated. Medical City offers advanced adult hospital, with a high-risk labor and delivery unit, as well as Medical City Children's Hospital, which includes the highest level of NICU designated by the state of Texas.

The public is invited to come out from 1 to 5 p.m. Thursday, in Longview at Longview Stebbins Aviation at 231 Terminal Circle and view the plane.

The public can view the plane in Tyler at Tyler Jet Center at 209 Airport Drive at Pounds Field on Friday.
