Hilarious! Chick-Fil-A Joke in Wharton, Texas had Police Looking for “Suspect”
I love a good prank. A good prank is an event that causes some good laughter without causing any harm physically or emotionally. Okay, this prank would pull an emotional heart string but nothing too devastating. This prank took place in Wharton, Texas, which is southwest of Houston, involving Chick-Fil-A and the hopes of a new store coming to town.
Residents of Wharton do not have a Chick-Fil-A to stop at for lunch or dinner Monday through Saturday. In a way, there is less of a headache dealing with a line during those times but many residents would love to have that problem to get a number one with a Dr Pepper.
A prankster knows this want and decided to put up a small sign with a simple design, "COMING SOON," the Chick-Fil-A logo and #eatmorchikin. This simple sign was placed at the intersection of North Richmond Road & FM 1301 in Wharton. Judging by a Wharton Police Department photo, which I will show in a moment, I'm guessing the sign was placed where the blue circle is.
This actually looks like a great place to put a Chick-Fil-A. Upon realizing this was a prank and that many residents were upset, the Wharton Police Department decided to have some fun with this "crime."
Wharton PD is actively seeking information on the identity of the infamous “Original Prankster”.

Based on my picture sleuthing, I can see the Sonic pull up order spots and the O'Reilly's marque in the picture on the left when zooming in so that's how I determined the sign location. Pretty good, right?
But I digress.
Police believe this is their main suspect:
This is a pretty funny prank and gave me the thought of pulling a similar prank but for Buc-ee's in Lindale. Oh boy, all of East Texas would be so mad at me. But a simple sign at I-20 and Toll 49 would get Lindale and East Texas Buc-ee's fans in a tizzy.
Just for the record, if something like this pops up at I-20 and Toll 49, I didn't do it (with a Grinch style grin on my face lol). Hats off to this prankster for getting a laugh out of Wharton residents and me.
