Elvis Presley will be honored with the Presidential Medal of Freedom, presented by President Donald Trump. Presley will receive the honor posthumously, at a ceremony on Nov. 16; other prominent names receiving the country's highest civilian honor include Babe Ruth and late Supreme Court justice Antonin Scalia. According to Rolling Stone, Presley is only the third musician in history to receive the award after their death; the others were Count Basie and bandleader Meredith Wilson.

At the 2018 People's Choice Awards on Sunday night (Nov. 11), Blake Shelton and Taylor Swift took home some trophies. Shelton won in the Country Artist of 2018 category, and the TV singing competition on which he is a coach, The Voice, won Competition Show of 2018. Swift's Reputation Tour won in the Concert Tour of 2018 category.

Kane Brown will present an award at the 2018 Latin Grammy Awards. Brown is part of a star-studded lineup of international acts, including J Balvin, Bad Bunny, Carla Morrison, Halsey and Steve Aoki, among others, who will be presenters during the ceremony. The 2018 Latin Grammy Awards will air live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nev., on Univision at 8PM ET on Nov. 15.

John Prine and Brandi Carlile are among the artists nominated at the fourth annual UK Americana Awards. Prine is nominated in the International Artist of the Year category, while Carlile received a nod for her song "The Joke" in the Best International Song category; both acts are nominated for the International Album of the Year award. Ruston Kelly, Israel Nash, Robert Plant, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, Mary Gauthier, Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats and Courtney Marie Andrews are also nominated, along with a slew of talented UK acts. The UK Americana Awards will be presented during the UK's 2019 AmericanaFest, set for Jan. 29-31.

Country-rockers Whiskey Meyers are set to hit the road in 2019 on their Die Rockin' Tour. The 54-show run kicks off on Jan. 25 in Nashville, Tenn., and will conclude in Maryville, Tenn., on July 20, after making stops in Texas, Louisiana, Florida, Minnesota and Nebraska, among others, plus 15 international shows in Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, France and the UK. Tickets for the Die Rockin' Tour will go on sale on Nov. 16.
