Jefferson County Inmate Arrested Returning to Jail After Bringing Back Food, Booze and Snacks
This will go down as a Dumb Crook of the Week but I really think that would be understating this man's actions.
Joshua Hansen of Dallas has been serving a federal sentence for narcotics charges at the Jefferson County Correctional Center according to khou.com.
Well, Mr. Hansen thought he was being clever, along with other inmates, by escaping from the back of the prison, heading to a rancher's nearby property and bringing contraband back to the prison.
So, yes, these inmates would escape and return to prison.
According to the Jefferson Sheriff's Office website, authorities got wind of this and set up surveillance. And what do you know, they saw Hansen leave the prison grounds, run to the property and pick up a duffel bag then return to the prison.
He was arrested before he could get back to the prison.
In the duffel bag, officers found three bottles of brandy, a bottle of whiskey, bags of Buglar Tobacco, snacks, fruit and even some home cooked meals. Hell of a party being planned.
This whole thing reminds me of the Bud Light commercial where the guy sneaks out to get beer and return to the Pit of Misery.
Looks like Mr. Hansen has earned a longer stay behind bars. Dilly, Dilly!
