Thousands of people from around East Texas will be descending upon Bergfeld Park Saturday morning for the annual Komen Tyler Race For The Cure.  All of these people have one mission in common, to help find a cure for breast cancer.  Plus, they all have a different reason for participating too, whether it’s in the 5k run/walk, 50 yard kid’s dash or the 1 mile fun run/walk, they’re doing it for something.  Memory of a loved one who was lost to breast cancer, a survivor, to better their own health – everyone has a reason.

Registration is going on through race day, but you have an opportunity today, tomorrow and Friday to register you and/or your team early.  The Komen Tyler Race For The Cure staff will be set up outside Brookshire’s on Rice Rd from 10a – 7p daily to get you registered for the race Saturday morning.

Race day activities kick off at 7:15a with a survivor breakfast, the aerobic warm-up begins at 7:40a and the first race begins at 8a.  Check out the complete race day schedule so that you won’t be late!

Look for Mix 93-1 at Bergfeld Park Saturday morning, we’ll have your chance to win prizes with the Mix 93-1 Kelly Community Federal Credit Union Super Prize Machine.
