Man Wanted In Fort Hood Criminal Investigation Dies Of Self-Inflicted Gunshot Wound
A suspect wanted in connection with a Fort Hood criminal investigation shot and killed himself, according to the Killeen Police Department.
It happened around 1:29 a.m. Wednesday morning.
According to investigators, the man was wanted in connection with the Fort Hood Criminal Investigation Division in one of their criminal cases. As of Wednesday morning, it's not clear which case the man was being investigated for.
Authorities tried making contact with the man after he was located in the 4700 block of East Rancier Avenue. As they approached, the man pulled out a weapon and shot himself.
The man died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The Killeen Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force assisted Fort Hood Criminal Investigation Division (CID) investigators with this case.
