  • Community policing at its finest.
  • Officers take time to engage kids.
  • The City of Diboll gets you in the feels.

In a concerted effort to crack down on unpermitted food vendors, the Diboll Police and Fire departments stopped by a local lemonade stand. They sampled the lemonade just to make sure it was safe for the public.

This was their tongue-in-cheek way of showing their support for a local group of kids exhibiting a lot of entrepreneurial spirit. Summer vacation is certainly here when you see lemonade stands popping up.

The Diboll Police Department recounted the story on Facebook, and I just couldn't let it slide without sharing. I'm sure this positive encounter with local law enforcement went a long way with the kids.

Diboll Has A Refreshing Way Of Policing Their Community

Most of us in Deep East Texas only know Diboll as a bit of a speed trap on Highway 59/I 69. They pull over speeders because a major highway goes right down the middle of town with no overpass or loop.

Officers do it to keep their town safe, and they have certainly made a reputation for themselves, so it has worked. A huge flyover is being built that will soon speed us along on our journey, and Diboll will become an exit.

If you made it this far reading this positive story about law enforcement, you deserve a treat. Here is a photo of a Lufkin Police vehicle in line at Shipley Do-nuts that I have been saving for a special occasion.
