Speculation Running Rampant of a Kentucky Born Texas Steakhouse in Lindale
(Lindale, Texas) - The rumor mill is running hard and fast in Lindale these days. If it's not Buc-ee's getting all the talk, it's Costco or Target or some other big name brand that's building in the area. Being that I am a native Lindale Eagle, I think it's great my hometown is getting all this attention. Another rumor has been floating around Lindale for a while now and seems to be sticking, a Kentucky born Texas steakhouse may be coming to town along the Interstate 20 - Highway 69 corridor.
Lindale and Big Business Rumors
I was born in Lindale in 1977, went to Lindale schools from kindergarten through graduation in 1996 and have since moved back after 20 years living in Tyler. It wasn't until my adult years that I heard about the rumors of Disney building some kind of theme park in Lindale in the 80s. The other big rumor in Lindale over the last decade has been that Buc-ee's is building a store. Target, Costco and H-E-B have also been rumored to be coming to Lindale. Jimmy Johns was a popular rumor for a bit to come to the old KFC/Long John Silvers building. That didn't far well when T-Mobile opened there.
The latest rumor getting some traction in my hometown is of Texas Roadhouse building a restaurant. Where it could be built is certainly up for debate. In the Heads Up Lindale Facebook group, many believe if it does happen it could be around the Highway 69 and Interstate 20 corridor. One commenter suggested behind QuikTrip. It would be a little awkward to get to because there is only a one way service road in that area but could still be feasible.
Rumor Confusion
Mostly people were just confused about how this rumor started in the first place or if it would be on the north or south side of I-20 since the south side is technically in Tyler 's taxable area. No matter. This is a fun rumor that could be pretty cool if it does come true.
