[Video] Woman Scared in Longview, TX As Man Grabs Car Door Handle

The video that you will see below has been posted in multiple social media groups in East Texas including Longview and Hallsville. The woman whose car door handle was pulled on as she was inside the vehicle was frightened when the incident took place, but others are saying it was a simple mistake. Either way this is a great reminder for all of us to be aware of our surroundings at all times.

The incident took place at Big Papa’s located at 880 East Loop 281 in Longview and the gas pumps right outside of the building. The woman pulled up to the gas pumps and left a pump in between the man who was already there getting gas, her habit is to always return to her vehicle while the gas is pumping. The gas pump finished and she returned to her driver’s seat and like always she locked her car doors.

She Started Her Vehicle And Things Still Went Sideways

Her Vehicle Started and She Sat There For a Minute as it was heating up, she was on her phone preparing to leave when she noticed a man approach her vehicle from behind. He then reached for her back driver’s side door. She says they made eye contact and he continued to open the door, that’s when she put her vehicle in drive and got out of there quickly. She did contact law enforcement and explained what happened.

Some People Saying This Was Just a Mistake

There are some people who have seen the video online and are saying this was just a simple mistake as the man was looking at his phone and didn’t realize what vehicle he was approaching. And that could be true, but if that was my wife, I would hope that she would do exactly at this woman did. Instances like this could quickly turn into a violent altercation with a gun being pulled on someone reaching for the wrong door handle.

Let this be a reminder to be aware of your surroundings, and put your phone down, accidents can end up taking your life.
