(Longview, Texas) - Texas is known for a lot of big things. There are some big lakes here, some huge bridges on the gulf and large hats on some cowboy's head. We can have some big animals here, too.

Wild hogs are huge and are a huge menace to us. The bugs in Texas can be big, too. This just adds to their creepiness and annoyance when they get into our homes.

Biggest Bugs That Can Get into Your Home

I went to insectidentification.org and found that there 1,551 different insects in Texas. They range from cute rolly pollies and butterflies to menaces like Black Widows and scorpions. What's crazy is that there are many more we probably don't even know about.

While insects are annoying and could be a little gross, there are many benefits to them. Some will eat harmful bacteria. Some, especially those that dig, provide air to our plant's root systems. If you can, don't kill them. Find a way to get them outside where they belong.
