Texas Getting $20 Million Dollar Chocolate Facility Next Year

Living in Texas is already fantastic, with so much to do and see at all times. But it sounds like the Lone Star State is about to get sweeter in 2025 as there is construction planned on a new $20.5 million dollar chocolate manufacturing facility. 

Texans Who Love Chocolate Will Love This 

The details were released by My San Antonio regarding the Canadian based company, Chewters Chocolate building the company’s first manufacturing facility in the U.S.  

Where Will the Chocolate Facility be in Texas? 

While it might not have all the charm of a chocolate factory you have seen in popular movies, this facility will be huge as it’s expected to be around 225,000 square feet in size built in Rockwall, Texas.

While the construction project will begin in 2025, the facility is not expected to be completed until June 30, 2026. But that date could change, as most people know construction projects can often take longer but sometimes take shorter than expected.

It’s exciting to hear about big projects like this because we all love chocolate, but this also means lots of job growth in Texas which is a fantastic thing to hear right now.  

What Types of Chocolates are Most Popular with Chewters Chocolate? 

The company started in 1984 and is well known for its Chocxo including organic dark chocolate coconut almond butter cups, ChocKeto dark chocolate-covered almonds, and Keto dark chocolate coconut almonds and sea salt snaps.  

While I haven’t tried any of those products yet, I look forward to giving them a shot when they are more readily available to us here in Texas.
