We all know that pet overpopulation is a serious problem in East Texas. There isn’t one animal shelter that isn’t at capacity at this point. It’s heartbreaking to hear about some shelters that are absolutely at capacity even turning away animals because they just don’t have the resources to care for all of them. But you can help and add a furry family member this week at no cost! 

The Longview Animal Care and Adoption Center announced earlier this week that they will be waiving all pet adoption fees for the week. They have many animals that are waiting for their forever family, they want to show unconditional love, but they need a home.

It’s enough to make you tear up thinking about all of those animals wanting to show love but for now they are in a cage, hoping they get picked today and get to take that joyous ride home. And these animals are set up for success meaning that they are already neutered, microchipped and are all up to date on their vaccines prior to being available for adoption. There is an EASY Approval Process 

To make sure these animals will be cared for there is a potential adopter approval process. But it’s fairly simple, but it’s good that they are looking out for the long-term health of these animals. There are over 150 animals that have been taken in over the past few weeks, finding homes for these animals is a necessity.
