When was the last time you stopped and smelled the roses?

Today I took some much needed "ME" time and went to one of my favorite hide aways to literally stop and smell the roses.

The Tyler Rose Garden has been one of my favorite go to places here in East Texas when I need to get away to clear my head and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Outside of social distancing and giving well wishes as I saw a few graduating seniors from 2020 taking photos, I just took a moment to "smell the roses."

Overlooking the world famous 14 acres 35,000 rose bushes and more than 500 variety of roses this is definitely a sight to see.

The roses come into peak bloom twice a year in October and in mid late May, but today was just as peaceful as some of the breath taking roses started to bloom.

Some of the variety of roses on display are the Heritage Garden and camellia and day lily collections and the Ida Garden just to name a few.

Whether you're taking a afternoon stroll, a date with your sweetie or exchanging wedding vows the Tyler Rose Garden is definitely one of Tyler's best kept secrets.
