This weekend offers a variety of things to do around East Texas.

Free Movies in the Park -- Tyler

Tyler Parks and Recreation's 'Free Movies In The Park' series continues Friday evening with a showing of "Frozen" in the amphitheater at Bergfeld Park at Fifth St. and Broadway Ave. at 7:30 p.m. Simply bring some snacks, drinks and maybe a light jacket or blanket to cover up with and enjoy a free movie with the entire family!

Rodney Carrington -- Longview

Rodney Carrington brings his "Here Comes The Truth" comedy tour to the Maude Cobb Activity Center in Longview on Friday, Oct. 9. Tickets are limited and a few are still available for the 7 p.m. show on Friday

Van Oil Festival -- Van

The annual oil festival is Saturday on Main St. in downtown Van from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and features a parade, vendors, food, crafts, merchants as well as activities for the kids and music.
