Texas Mom Burns Elf on the Shelf in Oven, Kids Elated and Horrified

Elf on the Shelf is that creepy "tradition" that began a few years ago. And I'm sure there are a few kids that have wanted to do this...on purpose.

But a mom in Wylie, Texas shared her story of how she accidentally burned their Elf on the Shelf in the oven.

One of her kids was glad the snitch was gone according to wfaa.com. Another was wanting Santa's magic to bring him back.

She does have a backup Elf on the Shelf and went to Facebook to ask what to do.

Someone has even created a Facebook event for a "Elfis Candlelight Vigil".
