You Can Expect 2 Big Changes in Texas Walmart Stores
Whether you love visiting their stores or not, Walmart is a very popular place to shop in the state of Texas. Personally, I appreciate their “rollback” prices often offering cheaper prices on items than other stores because they have so many stores which allows them to buy in bulk and pass along the savings. Although everyone knows recently inflation has been tough on all of us. But if you are a Walmart shopper there are two big changes that you should expect to see in the near future.
Recently, I was reading an article published by The Street about these changes that Walmart is currently making, and it doesn’t have anything to do with self-checkout. But one of the big changes that could be implemented soon might make your life a lot easier.
The Change at Walmart That Could Really Help
By the end of 2023 Walmart hopes to have 40 mini post offices running from their stores to make delivery faster. These mini stations should make next-day deliveries much easier to accomplish. Texas is the state with the highest priority to make this happen, although there is no list of the specific stores where you can expect to see the mini post office locations pop up.
The Other Changes Coming to Some Walmart Stores
Besides the post office locations in Walmart stores, the other change that Walmart is experimenting with is in-store police substations. Theft at Walmart is a big problem and to combat the issue the big company is looking at trying out police substations, no word on how this is going so far and if they are planning to expand this idea in the future.
