(Lindale, Texas) - It's cool when we find a useful hack to help make our everyday lives better. Sometimes that hack could look really cool prompting friends or coworkers to ask what it is. Other hacks can't be seen but the results of the hack can be.

A hack that I saw recently on TikTok sounded very strange but seems to work. It's not a replacement for using a box of baking soda, or simply cleaning it, but it could certainly work until either of those things can be done. Try using a roll of toilet paper in your fridge to help reduce odors.

Toilet Paper in Fridge? It's Weird But it Works

There is nothing worse than going to the fridge for a quick snack and getting that awful smell of lettuce going bad. It's rough on the nostrils. That box of baking soda won't kill that particular odor but will help make it less smelly.

But what do you do if you run out of baking soda and can't get to the store for a couple of days? Well, a new hack is going viral on TikTok showing people putting a roll of toilet paper in their refrigerator to help absorb some of those unpleasant odors. I know, sounds weird, but apparently it works.

Put a Roll of Toilet Paper in Your Fridge to Help Reduce Odors

This is certainly not a replacement for the conventional, and very effective, baking soda in the refrigerator but it will do in a pinch. You just need to remember to only leave it in there for about three weeks and that the roll hasn't already been in the bathroom.

If you're curious, give it a try and see if a roll of toilet paper in your refrigerator will help reduce odor.
