I may be jumping the gun here, but I'm ready to hit up the water park and take on the slides and wave pool and, of course, float away the day in a good, lazy river.

Spring is coming up quick, and so are the spring and summer time temperatures. The oppressive heat and humidity will be returning to East Texas, and we'll all be looking for a great way to escape them both.

Thankfully, there are several water parks around East Texas where we can seek that relief. We have a couple of fantastic water parks here in East Texas, with several more within a couple hours' drive of East Texas that you can explore and have a splashing good time.

While there are a couple of indoor water parks nearby that we can enjoy any time of the year, like The Waterpark At The Villages on Lake Palestine, Epic Waters in Grand Prairie, and Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine, there's just something about visiting an outdoor water park.

Outdoor water parks are getting ready for the 2025 season and will be opening soon. The lazy river, wave pools, slides, and other attractions are just waiting for you to take advantage of them.
