After Spending Days Stuffing Myself With Turkey After Thanksgiving, I Wanted A Different Kind Of Bird And Went To One Of My Favorite Places That's Not In East Texas.

I know that you can get wings just about anywhere here in East Texas but this is my official start to a campaign to get a popular wing spot to come to our area because, well we need it. They already have multiple locations throughout the state including one inside Minute Maid Park, home to the World Champion Astros, so maybe they would like to expand to our area...

I'm Talking About Pluckers Wing Bar...

Pluckers was started in the 90's by two UT-Austin students and one of their brothers who in 20 years have expanded from their humble beginning in Austin to over 30 locations in Texas and Louisiana.

If you think I'm just hyping these folks up, they have received numerous accolades including being named one of the Top 5 Sports Bars In America by ESPN and One of America's Top 10 Wing Restaurants by USA Today.

This Is Their Story...

While you may think its just another sports bar with lots of TV's and noisy fans, they actually have fun and creative things that they do to keep you coming back for more plus their menu is huge with more than just wings.

And Their Catch Phrase Is: "If You Don't Like Our Wings, We'll Give You The Bird".

Some of the fun things they do at various locations including weekly "trivia nights" where teams can win Pluckers gift cards, The "Wall Of Flame" challenge where if you can eat 15 of their hottest "Fire In The Hole" wings in 15 minutes, you'll get your photo on the wall of flame and a t-shirt.

They Also Have A "Pluckers Club" Where You Can Earn Points.

They also have the "Pluckers Club" membership where members can get free food, discounted specials and free "birthday meals" for each member of your family and you can earn points towards more free food by completing challenges inside their app.

What About The Food Though?

So I came to Pluckers because I had a "free birthday meal" to redeem and Pluckers has an AMAZING amount of unique wing flavors to choose from including

I got my favorite wings: GOCHUJANG, a Sweet and savory Korean BBQ sauce and Spicy Lemon Pepper a combination of their mild buffalo sauce and lemon pepper seasoning.

Can We Get Them To Come To East Texas?

The closest location to us is in the DFW Metroplex so its not like a location is within reach but with locations all across the state, even Baton Rouge has 2 locations, what about us here in East Texas. Their menu did say "AND COUNTING" so I asked them about it on Twitter recently:
