Any person of my age remembers the first release of Toy Story back in 1995. I was a senior in high school. It was a fantastic movie with some top notch voice acting. Tim Allen as Buzz Lightyear, Tom Hanks as Sheriff Woody, Wallace Michael Shawn as Rex, Don Rickles as Mr. Potato Head (He passed away in 2017. They are using unused recordings from the past films to keep his voice for Toy Story 4), Jim Varney (now voiced by Blake Clark) as Slinky and, of course, John Ratzenberger as Hammy.

Hammy was always one my favorites, next to the Green Army Men. John joined the Big D and Bubba show to talk about the latest adventure of Woody, Buzz, Hammy and the whole gang.

Another subject to come up was John's backing of the need for skilled laborers in the workforce. Big D and Bubba are big proponents of this, too. There is such an emphasis on going to college and getting a degree that learning a trade has been pushed to the wayside. That means that less of those trade workers are available in the workforce. That could spell big problems for America in the future.

Toy Story 4 opens in theaters this weekend. I'll hopefully be in a seat at some point this weekend to check it out myself.

Listen to Big D and Bubba Monday through Saturday mornings on 101.5 KNUE.
