A Couple of ESPN Yahoos Throw Out the Buc-ee’s ‘Slander’ in Latest Podcast
(Terrell, Texas) - So Buc-ee's...some call it a tourist trap, others call it the ultimate stop on their road trip. Me and my family love Buc-ee's. Sometimes, we make a trip to Buc-ee's in Terrell just cuz.
Buc-ee's isn't for everyone. The chaos inside can be overwhelming. The 100 plus gas pumps can make you overthink where to fill up. The food selection mixed with the home goods mixed with the new wardrobe you could pick up can be both confusing and mind blowing.
ESPN Yahoos "Slander" Buc-ee's for its Size
Walking into a Buc-ee's is like walking into Walmart, you must know what you're looking for or you'll wander for an hour. For some, like myself, that's the appeal of the massive gas station. For others, like Stanford Steve from the SVPod podcast, that size is too much.
To close out a recent podcast, Steve, and the lead caster Scott Van Pelt, got into a quick discussion about Buc-ee's. Van Pelt did admit he had never been to a Buc-ee's but did say it looked like the Mall of America. Stanford Steve has and didn't like the "mile and half walk to go to the bathroom."

I Get it But That's the Fun of Stopping at Buc-ee's
I get his complaint. Buc-ee's are huge. It's take a couple of moments to get to the bathroom if you really need to go. But look, Buc-ee's is worth the 30 to 45 minute stop on any road trip.
The food is good. The fountain drinks are always delicious. The merch is great to sift through. I love Buc-ee's and always will.
