I'll never forget the first time I saw "Bambi." I don't remember how old I was, but I loved it. Of course, I could've been 25, and I still would've loved it. Yes, of course I wept at that one particular scene which shall not be discussed here. (Weeps.)

Although I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for the classic Disney cartoon created in 1942. However, I am pretty excited about the news that a live-action 'Bambi' has the green light to go ahead.

Variety.com confirms that "screenwriters Geneva Robertson-Dworet (“Captain Marvel”) and Lindsey Beer (“Sierra Burgess Is a Loser”) will write the screenplay, with Chris and Paul Weitz’s Depth of Field producing."

Look forward to the same impeccable level of CGI we've grown to love and expect from movies like Disney's "The Jungle Book" and of course "The Lion King."

If you loved the live-action remake of "The Lion King," then I'm betting high you'll be a fan of this one. I know I will be. Although, I'm not sure if I'll be able to emotionally handle that aforementioned weep-inducing scene. But I'll work through it--and bring lots of tissues when I go.
