ICYMI: Miranda Lambert on the Hotline with Big D and Bubba
East Texas has always been proud of the success of Miranda Lambert. She is one of the leading ladies of country music right now and burning up the chart with her current song "Bluebird." She took some time to call in to the Big D and Bubba show and talk about her music, her husband and her animals.
Bubba had to bring up before the interview about her time on Nashville Star. It was basically American Idol for country music. The show had many judges including Blake Shelton, John Rich, Bret Michaels and others.
It also became a hub for East Texans to get discovered. Miranda Lambert finished third on season one. Sheila Marshall from Nacogdoches, Josh Owen from Brownsboro, Casey Rivers from Lindale, Shy Blakeman from Kilgore and Kacey Musgraves from Golden were all top ten finishers from the six seasons of the talent show.
The conversation started with the success of Bluebird. It will be the next number one hit for Miranda. Big D brought up how good he thought her song "Dark Bars" is. It's basically a homage to being able to go to the bar and hang out. With what's going on now, it can be a perfect song about missing going to bars.
They also talked about her husband, Brandon, who has developed a following of his own for being good looking. They mentioned an Instagram photo of her and Brandon in their pool and how ridiculous it was he looked that good.
